Student and Volunteer Interaction
Use student free-time and tutoring sessions to interact with students and volunteers and encourage technology use including SVHATSImplement activities that encourage computer use
Training and Communications
- Improve communications between students, volunteers, donors and staff using technology including email newsletters, our websites and online information presentations
Technology Maintenance
- Maintain current technology and update as needed, as described in the organizations' Technology Plan Wiki
- Research and implement new technologies and update the Technology Plan annually.
Research and Networking
- Build understanding of organizational goals through research and participation in online discussions.
- Take an active role in improving the organizational websites. This might include website reorganization, redesign, or adding new web elements to the existing pages.
- Research and implement online community building strategies to increase use of online forums and resources
Desired Outcomes
- Students and volunteers develop habits of technology use including regular web resource and SVHATS usage.
- Communications between the organization and its students, volunteers, donors and community increases and becomes more technology based.
- Creation of a library of knowledge where one can learn to:
- Lead an organization like Cabrini Connections
- Lead an organization like Tutor/Mentor Connection
- Be a volunteer, leader or advocate
- Be a benefactor to support the growth of programs in multiple locations and cities - Creation of an online community of people looking at the above information, understanding it, and acting on it.
