Every Monday evening from 5:45 to 7:15 pm, Art Club volunteers and Cabrini
Connections students meet and work on a variety of creative arts projects.

The art club is part of the organization's Success Steps strategy. Our mission is to provide an environment in which at-risk students are able to succeed creatively through visual communication and technologies like photography, sculpture, graphic design, drawing and painting. By creating visual works, the students not only learn how to produce and communicate important messages and ideas, but also acquire skills in project-management, team building and critical thinking. We believe that making art is a significant contributor to increasing self-esteem and building literacy.
Art
created during the school year is shown and sold at an annual Art Festival which
provides students with positive feedback, and helps raise visibility and dollars
to fund the various activities of Cabrini Connections. Volunteers are
always welcome to join the art club. Just email
info1@cabriniconnections.net
to inquire.
The arts/video and technology programs of Cabrini Connections are part of a comprehensive set of actions intended to connect youth with adult volunteers who will mentor them toward jobs and careers. The funds raised from the Art Festival do not come close to covering the annual costs of providing these experiences to our teens. Please consider becoming a donor and sponsor of the 2008-09 program. Every contribution helps us build a positive future for our teens. Visit
