Alumni Updates

Cabrini Connections was launched in 1993. Since then, more than 525 low-income, inner-city teens have participated in one to seven full years of one-on-one tutoring, mentoring and group learning activities.

  • 58% of these teens have been in one-on-one mentoring for two or more years.
  • 36% (169 teens) have participated for three or more years.

Sign up for 2009-10

Cabrini Connections has started the 2009-10 school year. While most of our student slots have been filled, we will still accept applications.  Students must be able to meet with volunteer tutors/mentors in one-on-one tutoring/mentoring each week at our site at 800 W. Huron. Students must have a positive attitude, and obey all house rules.

Graduation Dollars

One of the many great resources that Cabrini Connections provides the students that participate in the program is an ability to earn points and graduation dollars for every student who enters AND completes the program.

The amount a student earns is based on an accumulation of the points that the students earn while participating in the program. Students earn points for attendance, special projects, completed Weekly Reflection sheets, submitting report cards, etc.
