Volunteer Descriptions

To apply for any of these opportunities, please fill out our Volunteer Interest form.

Tutor/Mentors – Tutor and mentor a student on Wednesday or Thursday evenings. Help with homework. Be a good listener. Be a role model. Time commitment: approx. 2 hours per week.

Coordinators - Help lead and coordinator tutoring sessions on Wednesday or Thursday evenings.  Coordinators must be responsible and dependable... the sessions will not run if you are not there!  Prior tutoring/mentoring experience is preferred but not required. Time commitment: approx. 2 hours per week.

Club Leaders – Organize and recruit kids to participate in after-school enrichment activities including Art, Tech and Video clubs. Time commitment: approx. 2 hours per week.

Technology – Create and maintain the technology infrastructure that keeps us running. Help maintain and update our servers. Design graphics and flash presentations for our website. Help update our website and create new pages. Time commitment varies.

Fundraisers/Organizers - Raise funds to support Cabrini Connections and the Tutor/Mentor Connection. Become a champion of tutoring/mentoring in your company, church or civic organization. Help organize fundraising events, write grant proposals and recruit a network of potential donors. Time commitment varies.

Office Support – Help with administrative tasks around our office. Filing, data entry, answer phones, etc. Time commitment varies.
